Attorney General and Minister for Civil Aviation Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today announced a $785,000 bonus for all Airports Fiji Limited (AFL).

It is a case of Christmas coming early for the staff of AFL who have enjoyed one of the best years of operation.

AFL executive chairman Faiz Khan says 2017 was an important years for AFL as the company had embarked on a numbers of major projects.

These included the overhaul of the Nadi international airport, Rotuma Airport upgrade, Nausori International Airport upgrade among others.

Despite this, AFL declared a $45million dividend payout on the back of a successful year.

In congratulating staff of AFL, Hon. Sayed-Khaiyum noted the exceptional performance of the company however, urged them not to rest on their laurels.

The bonus will be distributed as follows;

– Staff that are earning up to $19,999 will get a bonus of $1,000 each.

– Staff that earn between $20,000 to $29,999 will be getting $1,500 bonus payout

– Staff that earn $30,000 will get five percent of their pay bonus.
