Attorney General and Minister for Economy Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum this afternoon commissioned the extension project for Douglas Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Limited in Nadi.

The medical manufacturing company has been operating in the country for the past two years with products being sold to Australia, New Zealand and other countries.

Speaking at the opening of the new extension which is valued at over $3million with state-of-the-art machinery, Hon. Sayed-Khaiyum thanked the company for its faith in the Fijian economy through the opening of the facility and now the extension in less than three years.

“The Fijian Government fully supports the efforts of our private sector and through your investments, Government is able to put in place critical infrastructure for Fijians as well as help in the growth of other sectors as well,” he said.
