FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned a water project in the village of Wailotua, Tailevu.

The water project has been funded by the Fijian Government to a tune of $91,000 through the Small Grant Scheme.

Our Leader said the Small Grant Scheme was designed to fill the needs of ordinary Fijians.

“While the projects that we fund through the scheme vary greatly in the size and the issues they address –– from school upgrades to rural electrification to water supply projects like this one –– they all serve a common purpose: to give Fijians today the necessary resources to be the very best versions of themselves”

“And while it may be called the “Small Grant Scheme”, I can assure you that none of the beneficiaries of these projects feel that the impact on their lives is in any way small,” FijiFirst Leader said.

The village so far used to fetch water from the nearby creeks for their daily use.
