Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources Hon. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya today officiated at the disbursement of Micro and Small Business (MSB) Grants to entrepreneurs, and handed over approval notices to families at the Subrail Park in Labasa.

Minister Koya disbursed MSB Grants to 888 entrepreneurs as part of the 27th phase of the programme initiated by the Fijian Government.

Seventy families from the Vitadra, Valebasoga, Buca and Avua settlements within the Labasa District also received approval notices and 99 year leases from Minister Koya.

To date, Government has regularized 10 informal settlements throughout Fiji, and distributed a total of 321 leases to their respective occupants who are now enjoying security of land tenure.

Minister Koya assured people present at the event that the Fijian Government would continue to support those in need of assistance.
