More than 100 low and middle income customers of the Housing Authority (HA) breathed a sigh of relief today after receiving their offer letters to build homes at the Tacirua subdivision in Suva.

Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, Hon. Parveen Kumar Bala presented offer letters to 113 customers who have been successful in the allocation of lots in Tacirua Phase 1A project.

Minister Bala said it was the first time in HA’s history that such arrangements of presentation of offer letters took place, which was indicative of the organisation’s professionalism to work together with customers for transparency.

He said Government was determined to work together with stakeholders in the housing sector to ensure that more Fijians acquired home ownership.

Offer letters would also be presented to HA’s customers at Matavolivoli, Nadi in the next few days.

“Nepani project is also nearing completion by first quarter of 2018. Veikoba project will also commence by the beginning of second quarter of 2018,” Minister Bala said.
