Minister for Education Hon. Dr Mahendra Reddy today opened a computer lab for students of AD Patel Primary School in Malolo, Nadi bringing the school on par with other schools to be part of the digital literacy programme. The students, of whom and majority children of farmers from the rural Nadi area along Tunalia Road will from this year also enjoy e-learning to better equip them for secondary school education. In opening the new lab, Minister Reddy said Government was grateful that the school had partnered with business houses and Government to bring the dream to reality for the future of the students. Established in 1956, the $150, 000 project was facilitated by a $35, 000 given by the Government and assistance from Radison Blu Resort and the Rama Krishna Mission. School Manager Sada Siwan Mudaliar said the services would also be available to parents and the community. The school plans to build a kindergarten as part of its project for this year and Minister Reddy said Government was supportive of the idea.
