REMEMBERANCE DAY 2017 – Western Division

The Western Division’s administration capital, Lautoka today came to a standstill as hundreds came to pay their respects to fallen sons of Fiji.

Led by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Corrections Services, a march through Lautoka City to the Memorial Grounds was held before Chief guest and Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Commander Joeli Cawaki who addressed the solemn gathering.

Attended by retired servicemen and women, their families and the families of those that had passed on, the ceremony brought back memories of comrades and family members.

Hon. Cawaki reiterated that Fiji will forever be grateful to those that paid the ultimate sacrifice in the call of duty.
