More than a hundred students of Naseyani Primary School will now have access to a new dining hall following the opening today by the Prime Minister Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama. Prime Minister Bainimarama said the construction of the dining hall was the result of requests made by Naseyani villagers during a talanoa session less than a year ago after he commissioned the primary school. “This dining hall isn’t just about the accomplishment we gather here to celebrate this afternoon. It is about much more than just a new facility, more than the new furniture and gas burners, and even more than the students who will use it. It is about those students’ future. This is why I am so passionate about making long-term investments in Fiji’s future generations, whether it’s fighting to combat climate change on the global stage or providing free primary education to all Fijian students for the first time in our history,” PM Bainimarama said. The new dining hall was funded by the Prime Minister’s Small Grant Scheme at a cost of $224,000.
