LABASA PRIVATE SECTOR – BUDGET CONSULTATIONS

The efforts of the Government in improving roads in major areas of the Northern Division was commended during the last 2017-2018 budget consultations for the private sector in Labasa. The Acting Prime Minster and Attorney General, Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum took questions from the members of the public present at the budget consultation and also highlighted on governments future plans. The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Economy, Ms Makereta Konrote also presented the state of the economy and how government spent its funds. Issues pertaining to duty concession, new bridge, land lease, sugarcane industry, extension for business operating hours, infrastructure and roads was highlighted and submitted at the consultation.   [Source: Fijian Government]
